Den grønne vækst kan også skyldes mere dyrket areal, hvor man i første omgang tænker på øget vegetation i “halvtørre områder”. Mere dyrket biomasse betyder også mere iltet kulstof (respiration, afbrænding..) så det faktisk er med til at øge CO2 andelen i atmosfæren. Altså mere dyrkning giver større biologisk produktion som hurtigt respireres til luften. Ergo vil mere landbrug i verden give øget CO2 i luften.. Det er da også den vej CO2-kurven går! Og hurra for det…
